Homemade Peach Baby Food

Speaking of gardens.... our little orchard is doing well too! Look at all these peaches from our two trees this year. They came in just in time for the Wee One to reap the benefits....homemade baby food! I knew I wanted to make her baby food, but wasn't sure yet how to keep it all. Searching through Pinterest as usual, I came upon a wonderful way to do just that. Freezing the homemade food in ice cube trays and then storing those cubes in gallon baggies in the freezer. This was my first attempt with said method. It worked like a charm and I continued to make all her baby food this way. Not only was it homemade, but most of it was home grown as well! Score!

Step 1: peel and pit all these peaches! This was definitely the most painful part.

Step 2: Steam peaches just long enough to soften.

Step 3: Throw them in the food processor.

Step 4: Pour into ice cube trays and freeze.

Step 5: Pop the cubes and store them in a Ziploc bag.
Perfect sized portions.

Step 6: Label and date, although she ate these so fast there was no need!

Step 7: Eat and enjoy. EC loves her peaches!! And mommy loves
how healthy and natural they are!

Of course baby food was not the only thing I decided to make from our wonderful peaches this year. EC couldn't be the only one that got to enjoy them. Here is one of the fabulous peach cobblers that also came out of all that hard work peeling and pitting. Add some vanilla ice cream and BAM it's officially summer! Yum!
