NOC Bluegrass Friday Nights

Perry and I went to the NOC on our anniversary this year just to hang out and we ran across the info for bluegrass Friday nights. We decided to try it out one Friday night and loved it. It became our tradional Friday night place for the few weeks left of summer. The littles made new friends every week and the rest of us enjoyed the music. We had pizza from the River's End and really enjoyed our time!

GMHG 2021

Since the Maryville Highland games went so well, we decided to drive 3 hours this time for the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games to surprise D for her birthday. We managed to pull it off and truly surprise her too! It was so nice to be back up on the mountain again. We haven't been to these games since I was pregnant with Ben Ben. This was his first trip to these games.

Getting ready to march in the parade.

A Hay, A Hay, A Hay!

Happy birthday D!

Watching the games and pipers compete.

Cutie!!

Kid games!

Another good day!

Farmer's Market

Fresh veggies at the market!
And lots of homemade jellies!
Our breads were a big hit and we sold out nearly every week.

Emily's plants she rooted did well too.

Gardens and greenhouses

Potato diggin time!

The new puppies like to hang out with us outside. Under the picnic table is their favorite place when they've played themselves out.

We had a ton of beautiful eggplants this year too.

Blot, My new favorite sweet pepper.

The crazy tomato patch in the back of the greenhouse. I just couldn't get rid of anymore plants, so we left them all and Perry just built this cage around them. It was mostly little cherries.

Hot red macedonian peppers.

These little babies will soon be picked!

Spaghetti squash coming along!

It won't be long and we'll be freezing some corn on the cob!

Okra flowers are so pretty.

Our sunflowers did awesome this year too.
Looking from the front fence towards the greenhouse.

And so it begins. So glad we have a pantry for these beauties.

Her favorite!

Pickled cherry tomatoes with fresh garlic and rosemary! These will be a nice treat during the cold winter months.
