HAPPY BIRTHDAY Little Bit!!!!

Saturday's Lake Adventure

And what an adventure it was!!! The day started off sunny and beautiful. Wonderful day to be on the lake. So we packed up and headed out to meet Granny T, Papa Jim, Pop and Uncle Jay out on the water. It wasn't 20 minutes after we got on the water that the skies turned gray and the rain started POURING!!

We decided it would be safer to pull up to a stranger's covered boat dock than to try to make it back to the launch. As soon as we got under cover the bottom fell out buddy! We waited for about 30 minutes to make sure it was safe, then headed back to dry land.

When we got back to the launch, we had lunch and waited around to make sure the rain was gone. After waiting for a good hour, we decided to head back out on the water. Thankfully we were able to enjoy the rest of the afternoon on the water without rain!

VBS - Saddle Ridge Ranch

Yee-Haw! This week the girls were rounded up and wrangled in for VBS at Saddle Ridge Ranch. Okay I know enough with the cowboy lingo, but I just couldn't resist! The girls have been at Vacation Bible School this week and loving it! The theme for the week is, as you can tell, "Western/Cowboy".

Since Father's Day is this weekend, the church decided to do a Wednesday night program this year. Both girls were on stage singing their hearts out. Miss Priss of course is an old pro at such events, but this was Little Bit's 1st time to be on stage in front of people. I was am so proud of them both. They did an excellent (and might I add adorable) job.

I was able to snap some shots before the show! Too cute!

Miss Priss showing us her seat. She just finished 1st grade.

Little Bit isn't actually 4 yet, but thanks to our baby-sitter, they
allowed her to participate anyway. Technically the kids in this
class have completed 4K. So Little Bit is the smallest one of
the bunch. Didn't seem to phase her at all though!

This has to be my favorite. If you have followed my blog, or
just pictures of my girls you know that Little Bit won't always
pose for me or she has a goofy look on her face.
She was just so excited about her 1st program she forgot what
she was doing! Look at those knobby knees! I love it!

As always, Miss Priss will pose! And as always it's just
beautiful! So sweet!

Getting ready to march in:

Look how little she looks! Standing up there like such a big girl though!

They both had a great time and sang their hearts out!

Yee-Haw - VBS is so much fun!

Birthdays, birthdays and horses! What a weekend!

This weekend was a very busy one indeed. First we started off with Henry's first birthday. It was a blast. The girls thought it was fun because it was at the park! Here are a few pictures from the party:

The birthday boy in his outfit his mom made! How stinkin' cute.

I think he liked our gift.

On to the next birthday party. Micaylan, the birthday girl in the middle, and Miss Priss are the same age and go to school together. Micaylan wanted to have a pool party, but they don't have a pool! So the next best thing....A WATER SLIDE!!! The girls had a blast.

Miss Priss is trying to talk Little Bit into going down the slide, but she preferred to stay in the smaller pool with others more her size. I can't say I blame her!

The girls showing off their new bags. This was the first time they've been able to use them. I think they turned out pretty cute and the girls seemed to like them! ;)

We ended the weekend over at Mark and Rose's for a Bible study. While the guys were inside talking, the moms took the kids out to see the horses. Of course they all enjoyed getting to feed them. And I think the horses enjoyed the company too!

The kids listening very well! They had to stop at the end of the driveway to wait for the adults.

Thanks to everyone for having us over this weekend. We enjoyed each part of our weekend.

Our new toy!

Oh the joys of summer! We all need something extra to entertain us during the summer months right? Well our one big purchase (and yes it will be the only one, so the girls better enjoy it!) was an off-road golf cart. Laugh if you will, but it has been a wonderful purchase so far.

It's not your typical gof cart. It has a lift kit, ATV tires, a windshield, fog lights and is GAS powered instead of battery! We thought it would be great for the girls to ride around the property with and it helps mommy when she encounters snakes on the paths in the woods! Now I don't have to stand back and wait for them to slither away, I can just run them over! Yes ma'am run them over, back up to make sure I got them and run over them again! (Can you tell we have run into a snake this year?)

Anyway, we are having a blast with our new toy. Daddy even let Miss Priss start learning to drive it! YIKES! Of course only in the BIG, OPEN areas!! Not on the trails yet.

Here she is driving Little Bit around the pasture...
