Around the house in October

He's not really been much for coloring, but he was really proud of this one. He did a great job staying in the lines. It was a cool puzzle he wanted to finish. Even if it was a fake dinosaur.

Sweet Scully - always wants to know if you have food.

Sweet Pippin - always wants to be petted, but only by one of the six of us.

Scully asleep in the leaf pile by the trees.
EC the dog whisperer.
Mamaleta sent them gifts. Benajmin got a $5 bill and EC got a pretty necklace.
Later that night he lost his first tooth. He was just a little excited! He couldn't let his slightly older sister show him up!
More pretty colors. Have I mentioned how much I love fall? It just doesn't last long enough!

Farm

Fall on the farm means leaf piles to jump in!

The colors are just so much better in person.

New girls on the farm. The one on the right is expecting. Hopefully we will have milk again soon.

Pretty colors and lovely weather.
I love fall!

His new tree house in the woods. EC's is on the other side of the road!

SMHG

This year we took an adult trip to Atlanta for the Stone Mountain Highland Games. We had a great group and had a blast. We rented an Airbnb, grilled steaks, went to the games both days, marched in the parade, sang happy 70th birthday to Ben as a piper played happy birthday (I had to sub it out since Pop wasn't there to play for us), and just had a great time. We really missed having our children there, but it was a nice adult weekend. Hopefully we can take everyone back next year. It feels like forever since we've been to these games. The above picture is Clan Hay lining up for the parade!

Our Airbnb crew. Chad, Amanda, me, Perry, Lesa, Mac, Mike and Amber. Couldn't ask for a better crew to hang out with.

A Hay, A Hay, A Hay
Donna, Ashton, Ben, Chris, Laura, Arthur, Brian, Shellie, me and Perry.

Another cute little snaggle tooth!

Perry handing the cake Emily and I made to Papaw.

He was definitely surprised!

Little turkey telling me just what he thought of my brilliant idea. LOL

I don't know what could have been so funny.
We're still cute!

So glad Chad and Amanda were able to join us. This year just happened to be the year where their clan was the honored clan of the games. That's really what sparked us to go. We had to go support our peeps!

Chad, Perry, Mac, Mike, Eric and his brother Ian.

I know I know, but I just love pictures.

A Hay, A Hay, A Hay

My girls! We had a blast staying up and chatting the night before. It's just so good to hang out with like-minded people and have real conversations.

Feasting Hall

Isn't she beautiful! First fires have been happening! She'll be ready for full use soon.

The crazy chimney. It drafts like a charm!

Pippy going with Abby to get more gravel.

You can barely see the smoke coming from the chimney here.
The picture didn't quite capture just how beautiful the fall day was, but you get the picture.

First dinner on the new cooktop! Scully loves the new stove too. She's a fatty that loves to be warm!

School

Learning about our skeletal system! What a great way to imagine it. The kids had a blast and Emily is awesome to be right there with them helping out!

Life skills building a shelter in the woods.

I can't begin to imagine what was so shocking! LOL

Fair

After herb class, Perry took all the kiddos over to the county fair. They went with our friends Chad and Amanda and their daughter Keira. The big girls got to reminisce about going to the fair when they were younger with Papaw and D and the littles got to experience their first fair. They loved every second of it and rode all the rides they possibly could. I stayed home and missed all the fun. Oh well, hopefully we can go again next year.
