Around the house in February

February is time for hobbies and projects. This girl loves her painting! New paints can always get a smile from her.

New lego projects are a must to keep little hands busy.

And some big hands too!

Ben Ben got a new book to read and Mama now has a better way to carry her yoga mat.

Thanks Nonna for all the new goodies to keep everyone entertained!

Beautiful days require lots of outdoor time for picnics and naps in the grass.

We saw this on our day out shopping and of course had to grab it.

EC modeling her new puffy vest like her sisters

Batman is here to save the pretty princess.

Showing off her prize necklace we found today too!

I am batman.

Benjamin got this weed eater for his birthday and uses it every chance he gets. He heard Perry outside using his so Benjamin ran to grab his weed eater to help dad get it all taken care of! I swear he was out there cutting for 20 minutes!

You can barely see Perry in the background helping Ben Ben trim.

Yummy chocolate donuts Emily made with her new donut molds!

Planting in the new greenhouse

Now that we've got some dirt, it's time to grow some stuff! Perry brought in all kinds of leaf litter, sand, compost and soil to get these guys ready. We also added some minerals that should really help things as well.

My planning chart so we know what's what.

Perry ran the spring water down to the greenhouse and the goat pin. Only the best for these veggies and animals!

Time to plant and of course it's all hands on deck. The littles love getting to be part of the process. Benjamin was excited to plant some carrots. I think he is equally excited to ear them!

Ella Claire planting some snow peas.

Scully looking all pitiful.

Please pet me!

Ha ha, got him!

Now to water all those seeds in with some good mineral compost water.

Our new water feature from the pipe coming from the spring.

Getting ready to plant all the tomatoes and peppers  to sell at the farmer's market.

And all the herbs too!

Around the farm

This winter has been sooooo muddy and it was time to replace this culvert with a real bridge. Perry found a black locust tree on our property and took it to a local sawmill for them to cut it up for us. But first we've got to get this old culvert out of the way.

Whoohoo bridge is put together! Now just to build up the road to it.

More exciting news around the farm! We now have two new babies! Mama Heidi gave birth to a little girl we named Sigrid and Mama Ingrid gave birth to a baby boy we named Bain.

Of course EC wanted to do nothing but hold them all day!

Cuties.

Sigrid and Bain, born one day apart.

Finally getting some eggs!
