Around the house in July

Mama and EC hanging out!

EC sewed this pillow, stuffed it and added the lace all by herself. Later she embroidered her BFFs initials on it and gave it to her!

These two didn't mean to fall asleep and I'm still not sure what happened, but it was way too cute and I had to have a picture of such a rare moment.

Emily and Mrs. Tammi working on a sewing project.

Abby and Emily working on another sewing project. I wish I could add the video of these two jokingly arguing with each other here. Way funny!

Silly thing. Funny thing is she can't stand to sleep in complete darkness.

My camo-lovin' dude!

Finally loosing those baby teeth. She likes to hang on to those suckers way too long. She's a cute little snaggle tooth though!

Boatin'

We had the best time this summer out on Lake Nantahala with Granny T, Papa Jim, Doug and his boys. Granny T and Jim invited us to join them and we're so glad they did. The big girls have boating memories with GT and Jim from when they were younger, but the littles had never been on a boat out in a big body of water before. It was a first for them and they loved every minute. Of course, now Perry and the little want a boat!

This is where Benjamin felt he needed to stay most of the day. He loved getting to drive the boat with Papa Jim!
First up to go tubing was Daniel and Spencer.

Too cool!
A little potty break turned into swimming fun. These two love the water!

Abby and Emily are up for tubing!
Crazy things having a blast and being silly.

Next up EC! She wanted to go so bad and just knew her Daddy would say no. Much to her surprise he said yes and she was so glad he did. She loved every second of it. She and Marnay had a blast.

Getting a little too good!

And then of course, Benjamin was ready for his turn! He had a blast too! Poor thing had a hard time keeping his head up though. He didn't seem to mind too much.

Farm and Garden

My beautiful rose that Lesipoo gave me for my birthday is blooming!

New bridge across the creek behind the feasting hall. It was just a board across, but now it's an actual walk bridge!
Had to be the first across!
Sweet pup loves to hang out in the hammocks!

Everything is soooo pretty this time of year. We are in full garden swing!

Dent corn this year. It's so much taller than sweet corn!

My favorite! Especially the red okra!

From the feasting hall side of the garden looking towards the greenhouse.

We'll have some mater sandwiches soon!

The different basils have done great. Emily made some amazing pesto.

Pickles!

Time to dig all 16 rows of potatoes. Each one 100 feet long!

Lazy bum. He's not even thinking about coming out to help.

We estimated it to be a little over 1000 lbs of potatoes. And they won't be going to waste!

The largest potato and tomato from the garden this year. Those are monsters! And that's even a red potato. We've never had them turn out that large.
