SHS Homecoming Dance 2018

Abby was invited to attend Springville's Homecoming Dance this year. We looked and looked and looked for an appropriate dress and just couldn't find anything. She decided to wear this cute little flowery dress and it was just beautiful. She enjoyed hanging out with some of her old buddies from SHS, but decided after watching all the crazy dancing and kids being wild that this was probably her last homecoming dance.

Lucy has been staying with us during the day 2-3 days a week for about a year and a half now. EC and BB love playing with her and having another buddy around. We're gonna miss having her around after the outfitter opens next April.

School Days

SCOPE has scheduled dress up days and the favorite around our house was th tye dye day! We bought the special tye dye kit and did these shirts ourselves. They turned out so cute. we'll be doing this agian soon. Even though the littles aren't in school yet, they had to have one too.

EC normally stays with Mamaleta, but she had a doctor's appointment this day. So EC got to go to school with the big girls and stay in the preschool class. She had a blast and can't wait to start her classes next year.

Power wheels

This fall we had a yard sale at Papaw and D's house. While the adults were busy selling, the kids were discovering the joys of power wheel toys. After telling Carolyn how much fun they had, she surprised them with two of their own as an early Christmas present. They have been out there every day riding and EC has now become a pro. Only with her unicorn bike helmet though!

Fall garden goodies

Fall is my favorite time of year. I can smell the campfires burning and taste the cinnamon apples baking. Yum. This year we were able to collect a lot of apples from our neighbor, Robbie's, house. We peeled, cut and juiced the apples to make a yummy apple cider. It turned out really yummy. And this year i got around to making some muscadine jelly again. I've taken the past couple of years off with all these babies around. 

Charlie

Perry found this precious little face on Craigslist and we knew we had to adopt her. Charlie is a 4 year old wire haired Jack Russel. She has an extremely sweet disposition and is so good with the kids. Unfortunately she was not the healthiest dog, but I'm glad we were able to provide her a good, loving home for her last few months. She was only with us a short time, but she was very loved.
