Around the house in August

A beautiful Rainbow on my way home. You could see the beginning and end.
Perry and I celebrated our 20th anniversary this year. We decided to take a quick trip to the NOC, listen to bluegrass, eat and sleep in one of the bunkhouse rooms. It was a much needed, quiet and enjoyable quick trip. Cheers to us for 20 years!

Puppies!

Scully and Hoogie decided to add to our household this year. They didn't even bother talking to us about it! We were pretty sure this was what was going on a few weeks ago. Then a couple of weeks ago we were very sure we were about to have more mouths to feed. My only concern was how big were these puppies going to be, Scully is so small. I worried for nothing, as usual. Scully did a wonderful job birthing and being a mama in general. This is the first time Emily and the littles have had newborn puppies in the house. It may have well been Abby's too as she doesn't really remember Shelby's two litters. It's been really hard not going down to snuggle these little boogers every chance we get, but it's been super cool watching them grow and seeing how good of a mama Scully is. I have a feeling they won't be finding any other homes but ours.

Eek puppy number 1 is a girl. Gretel
Puppy number 2 is a boy. Hansel
Puppy number 3 is another boy. Pippin the runt.
Phew, that's over and we are just chilling now.
They grew really fast!
They are going to be bigger than her by the time they're two months old.

Getting a little sunshine and fresh air.

Sweet little Pippin. He's a cuddle bug.
Gretel is treated like royalty around here. EC has made so many little princess beds and strollers for this little princess. They are so cute and so soft.

Hoogie did a great job protecting Emily and me on a trip back down to Alabama. He loves to ride.
