Around the house in November

Still enjoying their morning coffee and chats!
Getting ready to go have family pictures made!
This is what you look like at 8:15 am when you've been up since 5 am! He jumped himself to sleep.
Poppy and EC playing in the dog pen.
It's been a double paci kind of day!
All those lovely chem-trails right over our fields. Ugh!

Matching PJs

This year I talked everyone into wearing matching pjs for the Christmas season. I found all the different pants and used my silhouette machine to make all the shirts. It was a mess for sure trying to get a good picture of all 7 of us (Yes even Poppy has a matching ribbon around her neck!). Most of them turned out like the first one here with people moving, blinking and pulling Mama's hair, but with the few Daddy would agree to sit through we did manage to get a couple that were okay.
At least these two let me take lots of pictures (for now!)
Enjoying some hot tea after working hard getting the tree up and kicking off the season with "A Christmas Story".

Benjamin is 11 months!

This happy, giggly little dude is weighing in at 25lbs and is a chunk to carry around (he needs to start walking very soon!). Thankfully he likes to ride in the backpack. He's crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, laughing at everyone and totally enjoying life. He's not much of a talker (like he could get a word in around all these girls anyway), but he will say Mama, Dada, dog, arf  (like the dog) and just started saying baba. He loves the new puppy, being outside, throwing and chasing balls, dancing to bluegrass music and giving mama cuddles.

Desoto State Park

It was a beautiful fall Sunday morning, so we decided to take a little drive and see what we could find. We drove North on 59 and decided to check out the Desoto State park visitor's center. There we found a map of all the Little River Canyon scenic drive. We drove the whole loop and stopped at all the lookouts. It's such a cool hidden gem in Alabama. We had a picnic, met a new dog, hiked/climbed a little, checked out the waterfalls and enjoyed the sunshine. I definitely want to go back next fall and see these sites with all the pretty leaves changing colors.
The whole trip wore him out!

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated a few different times for Thanksgiving. GT, Papa Jim, Pop and Nonna went to the cabin for the actual Thanksgiving day, so we ate and celebrated with them a little early. Then we smoked a couple of turkeys for ourselves at home to enjoy over the course of the whole week. Lastly we headed over to Papaw and D's for our actual Thanksgiving day feast. Lots of turkey to eat and little turkeys to watch play!
Daddy's little pumpkin and Mommy's little turkey all ready to eat at GT's.

Our smoked birds! Yummy!
All 4 of my little turkeys!
After a long day of eating turkey, we ended our Thanksgiving evening with a warm fire and a few rounds of the game Headbands. It was a great thanksgiving for sure.
