Spring Break part 2 - North Carolina

*Sigh* - Ah the beautiful landscapes of Western North Carolina. I just can't get enough! Eventually, one day, someday.....we are going to move there. Preferably sooner than later, but hey I'll take what I can get!

On the spur of the moment P and I decided to make a quick trip to the mountains over Spring Break. Since we were headed to Atlanta for a wedding on Saturday, we decided to take a long detour through North Carolina to get there. Real smart I know, but I must say it was a great trip.

Thankfully Granny T and Jim let us stay in their BEAUTIFUL cabin located in Andrews.
This is the view from the top of the hill behind the cabin.

This is a close-up of the same view behind their cabin.
If you look closely you can see the chimney in the bottom left corner of the pic.

We decided since we want to one day move to NC that we would go ahead and start looking at some real-estate. We got so caught up with the idea we even rode around with a real-estate agent all day Friday! Here are some pics of some of the places we looked at.
This house was awesome, but more of a vacation spot. It had no rooms really. It was on 12 acres and way out in the woods, but we don't have that kind of money for a "2nd home"!

This next house had an awesome driveway. Really made you feel like you had money!!

Same house...with breath-taking views!!

This tiny cabin was more in our price range! It's right on the creek (and road too!) and backs up to the Nantahala National Forest.

It wasn't until that afternoon when we found the perfect place for our family - Hayesville. I know what you are thinking...it's spelling wrong I know, but hey it's close enough. No really, we fell in love with this little town that happens to be named Hayesville. It was so cute and friendly.

When we win the lottery I want to buy this house with this view!!!

This is downtown Hayesville. It's surround 360* by beautiful rolling mountains.

The courthouse in downtown Hayesville.

One good lookin' guy waiting around on me to finish taking pictures!

The drive into the Tusquitte Valley from downtown Hayesville. It was breath-taking!!

It looked like the old truck was placed in front of this old barn just so I could take a picture of it!

This was the oddest house we looked at all day! A guy from Florida moved to the mountains, but he still wanted his "warm-Florida" feeling. So he added a green-house to the front and painted it some odd colors. I don't know if he's ever going to sell it though. He wants WAY to much money for it!

Last but not least is my favorite picture from the trip. The barn, the truck, the little windy road is calling my name! Can't you just see P out in the pasture on the tractor, the girls running around with big smiles and the dogs right behind them??

Unfortunately we had to leave the next day, but we are planning another trip in April. This time we are taking P's parents with us so they can fall in love with the area too! I figure once they see it, we'll all be making a big move! ;)
