This year A's class was able to visit Homestead Hollow for a field trip and thankfully I was able to take a personal day to join them. We had a great time looking at all the "old timey" ways of doing things. Of course we have been as a family MANY times in the past, but it was still fun to go hang out with A for the day.
This was our little group. We were suppose to have another little girl with us to make it a little more even, but her dad came and of course she wanted to walk around with him. As you can tell it didn't seem to upset A too much. She still had a blast with the boys anyway. (The boy on the left says that he never smiles!! - So don't think it was because he wasn't having fun.)
Here's the group checking out the HUGE turkey. There were too many kids around to get the turkey in the picture too.
A and one of her buddies from a different class.
A's whole 1st grade class. This was taken right before the buses left to go back to the school. Can you tell the kids were just a little tired and ready to go??
A and her WONDERFUL teacher this year. A is having a great year and loves school.
