This isn't one of the trees Abby tapped, but I thought this was a cute picture. Abby has been tapping trees to gather sap for the past couple of years. It's such a cool process and the some trees will just pour the sap into her jars. She then either boils the sap down and makes syrup or uses it to make a wine or mead. Her birch beer last year was amazing. I can't wait to see what she comes up with this year. Side note - it takes a TON of maple sap to cook it down to sryup!
