Still practicing those pipes so he can play with Daddy and Pop.

He's still very excited about them!

Our new table for the kitchen!!

It's going to fit perfect in the little nook between the door and the wood burning stove.

Homemade fried apple pies.

This kid loves playing with trucks!

And cutting grass like Dada.

And playing T ball.

And Scooby! Perfect gift from Granny T and Papa Jim for his birthday!

Enjoying some pine needle tea at campsite 3.

My first time to spot a BCCO sticker on a car that belongs to someone that I don't know!!

Visiting at Mamaleta's for the afternoon!

Emily - 8th grade
I forgot to add their "official" school pictures in last year's book. It's still the same school year so that should count!

Burns Night 2020

ASK why God made the gem so small?
And why so huge the granite?—
Because God meant mankind should set
That higher value on it.
Robert Burns
We celebrated Burns Night 2020 at Ben and Donna's this year. The Caledonian Society apparently doesn't have enough members to sustain the event unfortunately. Hopefully that will not be the case in the future and we can do something at the outfitter to boost attendance.

He loves his kilt and bagpipe set up. I think he will be quite the piper one day!

Abby playing Olde Lang Syne.

The beautiful table scape Donna set up.

A Hay, A Hay, A Hay!

They'll never take our Freedom!

His favorite place to be is somewhere listening to these two play.

Abby turns 17!

Biscuits and gravy for the birthday girl!

Lighting her own candle.

Super excited about mom taking her picture first thing in the morning. She proves it with her favorite coffee cup turned just the right way for the picture. lol

There's that pretty smile.

Still hard to believe that 17 years have flown by so fast. I know I say it every year, but she's beautiful inside and out. I can't wait to see what the future holds! Happy birthday Marnay!

Greenhouse

This year we decided to step up our greenhouse game by starting some cabbage and broccoli seeds. The plants were beautiful, produced a lot of food and sold really well!

This lovely radish is about to become a fermented radish. Fermenting veggies has become a new healthy hobby of mine. So far radishes have been our favorite. I make a salt water brine, cut up the radish, pour the brine over the radishes, press the glass weight down until the brine covers it, screw the burper lid on top and let sit for 5-7 days in the pantry. Once they've done their fermenting you replace the burper lid with a regular lid and keep in the fridge for up to 6 months. Not only are they super healthy for your gut, but they don't taste too bad either!

Glass weights.

Burper lid.

Look at that pretty pink brine!
