School zone

The house is coming together slowly but surely. Ella Claire and Benjamin have the run of the upstairs and there just happens to be the perfect little nook for our school year. They have been helping me decorate and organize. They are excited to get school started soon.

Working on their letters and shapes in some little books I found at the dollar tree. Fingers crossed school continues to go this well when we really get started.

Getting ready for goats and gardens

Our goal here is to make this a working farm. We are putting up fences for goats.

We also have it cross fenced with for our garden and greenhouse spot as well. Gotta keep those critters out.

New house

D gave us this bed. It holds a crib mattress and is perfect for EC's size! Plus it's super cute.

The big girls are currently using Papaw's old bunkbeds that were in Emily and Ella Claire's room before. Hopefully we will get them set up with something different soon. It's working for now.

Moving to NC trip 2!

Bless his little heart. We didn't even get to the gas station before he was out! We crammed stuff in the car everywhere around him. This trip Perry drove the Suburban with Emily and Ella Claire while I drove the Subaru with Abby, Benjamin and Scully.

Marnay couldn't hold her eyes open either.

Dang, even Scully passed out on me.

There were actually 3 trips made. I didn't go on the second one so there were no pictures. That trip was Steve driving the 26 foot U-haul, Perry driving the Suburban, Ben and Emily with his truck and trailer carrying the tractor and John Williams with his truck carrying the tractor implements. There trip was the most exciting for sure. Not only did the run into a horrible thunderstorm, but someone backed the U-Haul into the big hole at the bottom of the driveway. They had to call a wrecker service to come rescue the truck. It all turned out fine in the end, but I'm kind of glad I wasn't on that trip with them.

 

Moving to NC trip 1

Papers are signed here in Alabama and we officially have one week to get out! EEK! This is the first of three of the largest U-Haul trucks you can rent before we started stuffing things in. The first trip we made included two 26 foot U-Hauls, Perry's truck and trailer and my suburban and trailer. We thankfully had Ben and Jason Boissel to drive the U-hauls and help us unload them. We could not have done it without them!! 

It's starting to get a little full.

I really can't believe we managed to cram so much stuff in them.

Emily and I are wearing our birthday presents from Pop and Nonna. New Chaco's!!

We've filled up and we're ready to hit the road. Papaw and Emily right behind me and Abby.

Poor thing was so tired and apparently riding in the car lulls him to sleep very easily. Keri says this is the norm for him.

She's having a blast at the new place. She's found some new mud to roll around in.
