Clan Hay 2013

Our tent

Thankfully before the day was over, we realized Santa was sitting in a tent just 3 or 4 down from ours. And of course we had to go visit! He whipped out a book to read to the girls and gave them each a candy cane. Little Bit was a little star struck! She hung on his every word!

Love it!

Cedar tree furniture

Here are just a couple of things The Woodsman made from the cedar trees they cut down in the woods behind our house.

My favorite: the front porch swing!

So cute and comfy!

And the shoe closet.

With custom made handles and latch!
One talented guy!!!

Bridging

Miss Priss has been participating in Girl Scouts for about a year and half. The girls have been ready to bridge from Brownies to Juniors for a couple of months now, but we just couldn't get it all worked out. So finally here they are at Homestead Hollow growing up from Brownies to Juniors. They were all so excited!

First day of 2nd and 5th grade - 2013

I still can't believe my babies are growing up so fast. It's school time again and here they are ready to learn! Little Bit's first day of 2nd grade and Miss Priss's first day of 5th grade. My how time flies!

Irish Dancing

This past spring and summer the girls were able to take Irish Dance lessons once a month. Miss Kim came to Local Color one Saturday a month to teach these young ladies the basics. We would have anywhere from just my two to around ten depending on the day and who could make it. They have had so much fun and learned so much. In fact they were so good Jil Chambess and the Henri's Notions Celtic Band asked them to come out and dance at their show! Here they are performing at Local Color for Henri's Notions.

The broom dance

The broom dance was their favorite for sure. Little Bit was already worn out and asleep at one of the tables by this point.

They all did a fabulous job and had a great time!
