Elves visit the Hays house

This year we were visited by a couple of crazy shelf elves. Dee Dee and Kassie pulled some silly stunts for sure! Here are just a few of them:

Roasting marshmallows over the American Girl doll fire.

Fishing.

Rolling the kitchen tree.

Playing trouble with a couple of friends.

Leaving surprises in their bags.

Racing in Barbie cars.

We had some crazy elves for sure!!!!

School Christmas parties

Again being a SAHM has given me the opportunity to attend Christmas parties at school this year! The only frustrating part about it was they were at the SAME TIME!!! So I run up and down stairs to be there for both parties.

Miss Priss and her friends looking all cute.

Miss Priss and her friends being all silly!

All the goodies of party day!

Miss Priss and another good buddy of hers, Alyssa.

Little Bit and her reindeer hat.

Little Bit and her best bud Daisy.

Little Bit's class had a special performance for the parents at their party. They all sang and danced. Too cute!!!

Miss Priss joined Little Bit's class when her party was over for a game. They were 1 person short so Miss Priss volunteered to be the needed person even though "they are little first graders". I think she secretly enjoyed it! ;)

Miss Priss and her wonderful homeroom teacher Mrs. Deason.

Visiting Santa

Every year we venture out to Santa's workshop (at Bass Pro Shop) to make sure he's knows the girls have been good and to make sure he knows exactly what they are asking for. This year's list included a camera, microscope, sewing kits, new bedding and lots of surprises!

Too cute!

This year's Christmas parade was a first and last! It was Miss Priss's first parade and Uncle Jay's last.
We had a great time watching and visiting!

Girl's Day Out - Annie the Musical

Every year we try to have a "Girl's Day Out" mostly to expose my girls to something different, but also to enjoy just that....a girl's day out.

Last year we were unable to go because of all the horrible sickness! EEK! Read about it here. So this year we wanted to make sure we did something special. Quite honestly it was hard to find something that wasn't the same ole same ole. We've been to the Nutcracker Ballet, the symphony is extremely expensive and the girls have been to the Alabama Theater on field trips. After searching and thinking we were just gonna have to go to lunch, a friend of mine posted a link to http://www.charactersentertainment.com/. Turns out its a fabulous theater group right up the right in Gadsden (only 30 min away).

I wasn't sure what to expect, but if you don't try you won't know right!?! So we bought $10 tickets and headed out. We were all pleasantly surprised!!! The show was great and the girls enjoyed seeing a live performance. It will definately go down in our books as a great place!

SMHG is a super trip for the children because of their unique Children's Corner. They have all the highland games set up for each child to come by, learn about and try for themselves. These munchkins had a blast!

Tooth Fairy visits Little Bit

Excited filled the house when Little Bit FINALLY lost her first tooth. She was convinced everyone in first grade had lost a tooth before her. Poor thing, I tried to explain its better to hang on to these baby teeth as long as possible! Of course that doesn't matter to a 6 year old with a bunch of toothless friends!

P.S. The tooth fairy left $5. Can you believe that! Maybe I need to start collecting teeth for a living!
