After herb class, Perry took all the kiddos over to the county fair. They went with our friends Chad and Amanda and their daughter Keira. The big girls got to reminisce about going to the fair when they were younger with Papaw and D and the littles got to experience their first fair. They loved every second of it and rode all the rides they possibly could. I stayed home and missed all the fun. Oh well, hopefully we can go again next year.

Herb Class
Fall herb class is about to be underway. It's a smaller class size this month, but honestly, it's hard to plan something in the month of October. There are just so many things to do and you can't do them all. It was still a great class! I wasn't feeling too hot that day and ended up inside taking a nap. It was the start of a nice round of sickness for our crew and I'm glad we have our herbalist, and the sickness is now gone.
This pitiful thing wanted in my lap something fierce. She wants to be right in the middle of everything.
She greeted all the guests and managed to talk me into being her chair!

Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin Patch field trip day. We don't go on a lot of field trips (mostly because they are on days I have to work), but we always try to make it to this one. Fall is just a wonderful time of year and who doesn't want to paint a pumpkin, go on a hayride, hang out with friends on a cool playground and pet all the animals in the petting zoo!?! They had a blast as usual!

Around the house in Sept
More "nerd" grapes. At least that's what I call them They're about the size of nerds and when you bite into them you get the crunchy seed which makes them taste like a nerd as well. Abby will be making wine out of these guys!
Poor little Pippy got bit by a copperhead on his little paw. It was so swollen the night before that I thought it was going to burst. Abby did her herbal thing, and the swelling was nearly gone the next morning. That doesn't mean that he didn't milk it for the next three days inside and the next couple of weeks hobbling around! Poor little guy!
Honey mushrooms all over our back hill. Abby made some cream of mushroom from them.
Finally found some rabbit tobacco and they didn't care who saw them on the side of the road!
Lost another tooth!
It won't be long before we have another snaggle tooth in the house!
She's a pro on this bike man! Standing up to ride!
Crazy dog. She fell asleep beside me like this and of course I had to snap her picture.

Emily goes horseback riding
Emily has been wanting to go horseback riding since we moved up here. We've looked at different places and she even called one, but nothing really seemed to work out. Until we met Marianne! She and her husband come to Abby's herb classes during the summer when they're at their mountain house. They also bring their horses up from Florida for the summer. When Marianne found out that Emily wanted to ride, she quickly invited us over and had Emily up on Sammy in no time. Emily loved it and got her fix! She doesn't want to ride all the time, but if we ever had a farm big enough for a horse, she definitely wants to add that to our barnyard! I'm highly allergic to horses and had to stay in the car the whole time...boo!
After the riding session, we went back to Marianne's where she had Emily do a hypnosis session for herself and her husband. I'm happy to report that Marianne had a stress free ride back to Florida and her husband Glenn is no longer biting his nails. This was the view I enjoyed while waiting for them!
