EC turns3!

For EC's 3rd birthday we celebrated the mermaid way. Sea shells, clams and sand galore, this little girl is so much to adore!

She is certainly an adorable 3 year old and I do believe she had a blast at her mermaid filled bash.

17 years and counting

Seventeen years ago Perry and I went out on our very first date. I was only 17 at the time, so this means we have officially been together for half of my life. Wow that's a long time! We met on a College and Career church group trip to Gatlinburg, TN. Neither of us was really supposed to be there, but we both ended up going anyway. I was only a senior in high school, but they asked me to join in since I would be part of the group next year and they needed someone 21 or older to drive a rental van, so Perry agreed to go. We started talking, had a splash in the hot tub (I'm still in awe that there's a picture of this moment in our lives that exists), he asked if I needed a ride home and I gladly said yes, then he asked me for my phone number, called Wednesday (the 14th), we went out on our first date that Friday night and have been together ever since!

He knows how silly I can be about dates and brought these home for celebrating.

To celebrate, we took Emily and EC out to eat at Main Street Pizza in Springville. It was so yummy.

Around the house in January

When you're blessed with a slightly warm day and lots of sunshine, you go OUTSIDE!! Everyone starts getting a little cabin fever and it's the perfect release.

It was quite a good day and they were sufficiently exhausted.
